active I can't get FTX Global to activate

It's so confusing here: what do I put under "prefix required" ? What do I put under "Tags" ?

Where do I put my signature ?  Where do I put  my order number ?

 

Here is my order number: FSS0510189

Here's all the issues I am having:

IN THE FTX GLOBAL BASE PACK READ ME IT SAYS:

 

“Orbx Simulation Systems - FTX: Global BASE

 

note: I had everything on my computer turned off including disableing

Norton AV.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Before installing this product you must also

have the Microsoft .NET Framework v4.0 or greater installed.

 

Extract all files to a temporary folder and run the executable to begin

the installation process.”

 

WHERE DO I GET THIS FILE ? Microsoft .NET Framework v4.0 or greater

 

NEXT:

 

I INSTALLED THE GLOBAL BSE PACK, IT SAID IT WAS SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED BUT

IT’S NOT INSTALLED.

 

I INSTALLED FTX GLOBAL PACK 2 DAYS AGO BUT IT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL….BUT IT DID ASK FOR AND I

PUT IN THE REGISTRATION DETAILS.

 

ON TODAYS INSTALL ATTEMPT IT SAID IT WAS  SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED BUT TON THE

FTX CENTRAL2 PAGE IT SAYS UNDER “PRODUCTS NOT INSTALLED”,  FTX GLOBAL VECTOR

IS THERE. 

 

ALSO UNDER SETTING AND TOOL THE “ FTX GLOBAL VECTOR configuration tool is not there.

 

ALSO ON MY 2^ND AND 3^RD INSTALL ATTEMPT IT DID NOT ASK ME TO INSTALL THE REGISTRATION

( which I do) “please select and apply “global”  WHERE DO I DO THIS?

 

UNDER “SETTINGS / TROUBLESHOOTING / DIAGNOSTIC REPORTER IT / GENERATE REPORT” IT GAVE ME THIS

NUMBER otd2368777d872e3fc140098d91aa43f2a  .  IT SAID TO GIVE IT TO THE ORBX STAFF WHEN ASKED. How and where do I do that ?

 

plus it’s a PITA TO GET INTO THE FTX FORUM.

I expect that now you should visit this page and download

the latest libraries.Install them and follow all the on-screen prompts.

Then run FTX Central and let it finish.

All should then be well.

Thanks for the diagnostic report, unfortunately, the means to view it

has been discontinued.

Well, I did exactly as u said:  I visited the page u told me to, found, downloaded and installed

the FTXglobal libs160708 file. I then ran FTX central.......................and no joy, it did not work.

It still shows under the products not installed:

FTX global lc europe

FTX global lc North America

FTX global Vector

Is the reason that these products show as not installed because you don't own them and have

not installed them?

As you wrote above, FTX Global has installed.

sure, I own them and installed them, see first post.

Can you then either check the order number you have provided or add others,

there is no purchase record for those three products on the order number given.

They are separate products to FTX Global Base.

Nick, the problem I am having is with FTX: Global Base only.

Here is a copy of the email I received from the flightsim store.

I left out the registration key. I received this email from them on

the10th of this month. I used the  order number, order date and

registration key as required upon installation.

Also, I have attached a screenshot of my scenery library, as u can see FTX Global

base is not there.

Your screen shot is inconclusive, there are three entries that are created by FTX Global, they are all named

ORBX!_OPENLC**** and are placed just above Edwards AFB in FSX Gold and Steam Edition.

In scrolling down my scenery library I see on priority line # 20, 21 and 22 these

entries:

ORBX!OPENLC_EUROPE1

ORBX!OPENLC_NAMERICA1

ORBX!OPENLC_BASE

They are not above Edwards AFB, but are above VLC_Libraries on line 23.

 

Does that means Global Base pack is installed ?

I would think so, those are added by the Global installer.

it is not installed.  When I click on the installer I get a welcome message that says: ++Please ensure you have Vector 120 installed++   Well, I do not have that Vector 120 installed or in my Downloads folder…please advise where to get this Vector 1,20 or do I go  ahead and install the OrbxFTXGlobalVector130 without it?

Vector is a different product from Global.  I can see an order for Global but not one for Vector in your products.

 

Please advise an order number for Vector to receive support.

No it doesn't.  You need a valid order number to show it is your purchased copy.

What you have in your possession is almost certainly the FTX Vector update 1.30, available freely on the

support page.

As the message suggests, this is designed to update version 1.20 to version 1.30 and cannot do this unless

version 1.20 is already installed.

 

The present full installer is now also version 1.30 but cannot be obtained except by purchase from the

Flight Sim Store.

Good question.

If it was on DVD, you can "cross grade" to a download product from the Flight Sim Store.

If for some reason you can't download, they can supply the latest version on a DVD.
