PAKT Airport

After installing PAKT airport in Pacific Fjords an elevation anomaly appeared. The airport  to the right of the default runway was lower than the runway. The pakt.bgl exceeds 4MB so can't attach files. Other than a new download and re-install is there anyway to correct ?

Thanks

Hi there,

perhaps you're unaware that the real PAKT does have two levels with the runway level being significantly higher? See http://www.explorenorth.com/alaska/images/1332-ketchikan_airport-8693.html

If that's not the issue a screenshot would be helpful indeed; see http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/38447-how-to-post-a-screenshot-on-the-orbx-forums/

Cheers, Holger

Yes Holger, I was not aware that PAKT airport had two levels. I wish I had known this before I did two re-installs.  Consumers should have been made awareof this peculararity.

I would note that the exit ramps are not very clear and are easily overlooked.

In FSX why can't the plane be positioned at the hanger to start.?

I would have bought it in spite of its faults

Regards

Hi there,

actually, the unique layout of the airport is mentioned in the product description both on our website and the FSS product page:

Quote

{...}, with a unique multi-level runway and taxiways sloping down to the aprons.

Due to the unusual platform construction of PAKT the gate selections don't use the typical codes. However you should see "1" and "2" in the GoTo Airport submenu, one of which places you at a gate and the other on the GA apron.

Cheers, Holger
