westbros
Hi. I am new to the ORBX world, so this is my first post. I have installed FTX Global Base, Vector and openLC Europe. I am about to buy Pilot's FS Global 2010 FTX to complete the global transformation of FSX. I would very much like to buy the Shoreham scenery, as this is my local airfield. However I see that this requires the FTX EU England scenery. My understanding is that the regional sceneries provide textures, vector data, land class and mesh - in other words precisely what I already have through the global packages, although I also believe there are some differences. Is it possible to use Shoreham with just the global packages? Or is the England scenery absolutely essential? Is there anything in the scenery which wouldn't work with just the global packages? It just seems to me that having to have the regional package would be an unnecessary extra cost for a lot of duplication. Thanks for your help. westbros
I'm resending this as I'm sure there must be somebody who knows the answer to my question. Thanks. Adrian
Nick Cooper
Some of the EU airports fit reasonably well into the scenario you describe. I would think that with the present price reduction, it would be a good bet to make the purchase.
