mstyles
Loving FTX! I wonder if its possible to include lighthouses and microwave towers? Since most microwave towers have lights they are great for VFR navigation. edit: Did I post this in the right sub forum, I couldn't find a dedicated place for "improvement suggestions"
Barry Meiklejohn
A good idea however if these are to be developed I suspect they will be part of the VSX collabaration. (VOZ Scenery X).
John Venema
We are releasing a hotfix to address the missing VFR waypoints. They were missed during the dev cycle, our apologies.
Holger Sandmann
Hi guys, in case you haven't seen this, the first two hot fixes for vertical obstructions and lighthouses have been released. Also, as I mentioned in Wolter's screenshot post about lighthouses, I have a question regarding lighting of antennae: some of these antennae are really tall; the upcoming package for the Melbourne map sheet has one that's almost 500m (1500ft) tall! Does anyone know whether these tall masts would have more than a single strobe? I seem to recall from driving by tall antennae in Europe and Canada that they had several strobes at regular intervals, say every 100m or so. I can add these strobes but would prefer to use real-world information rather than just guessing. Cheers, Holger
John Venema
I think you are refering to the Keilor mast Holger? That has several strobes about 250m apart beginning from about 200m upwards. It also has extensive cable ties and the base occupies an area of about 12 km sq bounded by fences.
