Amord
If you know of a amphibious model for the Carenado C208 I'd be very interested in finding one.
birdguy
I'd like to know of an amphibious float plane too. I've dumped my Kodiak amphib because of such poor performance on the water. It leaps off the water like a kangaroo on takeoff and noses the float tips down into the water on landing. I got rid of my FSD Pilatus on floats because the way the floats are under water at rest. The default FSX Beaver behaves well enough and so does the Oz Goose. Both work in P3D, Noel
ravenn22
The old Carenado 206 amphib is nice, but a Caravan amphib would be cool - I've been wondering if they planned an expansion to the 208.
jsapair
I run the payware Carenado C-185 amphib as my default AC. 4 liveries. Great plane.
Dieter
As far as I know there isn't any creation of a Carenado C208 amphibian ever done for FSX/P3D. But there is FSX Cessna C208 Amphibian Update available you might try: https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/9902/fsx-cessna-c208-amphibian-update/ Dieter
Mac_Maddog88
I know this is a bit extreme, but the Aerosoft PBY Catalina possibly?
birdguy
Thanks for the heads up on the C208 amphib Dieter. It says it's P3D compatible. I'm going to try it out and see if it behaves on the water better than my Kodiak did. Noel
jabble
One caveat about the Catalina in P3D - it mostly works (via EMT anyway), but for some reason the NAV & ADF LED's don't display. So you'll have to learn the KLN-90! My main amphibs with IFR are Carenado's C185 and Aerosoft's Twin Otter, and I'm curious to see how you get on with the C208.
