mikenor
Hi Folks, hitting a first today - trying to install FTX Global but getting a message "error: not enough disk space for the unwrapping process. Space required: 5145560kb, space available: kb unable to continue" I am using an ssd for my OS (Windows 7) and have 15gb available on that one. My secondary in which P3D and FSX are installed is my F drive and I have 529gb free on it. I saw another post on this in this forum but my circumstance is different as I DO have room on my C for the unwrapping. Any help appreciate. Thanks, Mike
Nick Cooper
Did you miss out some of the error message? Space available= No, I don't think you do have enough space on your C drive. Try the Windows Disk Clean up function to free up more space.
Nick Cooper
Actually, it is possible to move the temp folder, to which the airport is unwrapped, to anywhere on the PC. Quite useful if the C drive is small and almost full.

Nick Cooper
Is your problem that you get the report of not enough disc space or is it that the installer won't install to your F drive? Regardless of where you wish to install the product, the installer will unwrap the files in the first instance to your Windows Temp folder which is by default on the C drive. The solution to the report of not enough space on your C drive is to either use the Disk clean up function in Windows File Explorer to free up some more empty space or by following the link in Ed's post above moving the Windows temp file off the C drive. If it is that the installer wants to install to the C drive, come back.
mikenor
Sorry for the late reply - I had subscribed to this thread but never received a notice it had been answered. I followed instructions on the link but was still hitting the issue - may have needed a re-start. I ended up finding a cache folder that was holdin 25GB of data which I moved to another drive and am good to go. Appreciate the assistance - great support on this forum as usual.
