I just installed the 2 A2A aircraft and NZ North and South and loaded up at NZAA and NZQN, no problem for me.
If nothing else works, try uninstalling and reinstalling P3D. If you only use the uninstall function, add-ons such as Aircraft are saved. When I do that I make a copy of the Lockheed Martin P3DV4 stuff in the Appdata Local and Roaming folders, and also the Lockheed MArtin folder in C:\Program Data. Once reinstalled I copy those folders back and get all my settings back.

FSUIPC 7 does all you need. Different aircraft, different bindings, different sensitivities, all automatic once set up. You just need to tick 'profile specific' when saving an aircraft you don't want to have default settings. Even the 747, requiring 4 throttles on my quadrant, is automatically set when I select it.

Outside the airport boundary it's Asobo country, and if the photogrammetry isn't up to scratch you should take it up with them. Personally I prefer to fly in the KBUR area with PG off because it's so bad.

Thanks. I appreciate the response. If a fix does not happen in a reasonable amount of time, will Orbx refund customers that have issues? I have a number of Orbx products and very happy with them, but it was disappointing flying around with low res textures and LODs popping in with this addon.
As Jon said, the mesh is just the shape of the ground. MSFS controls the overlying texture (the photoreal textures) and the popping is a function of speed, memory, LOD settings and a myriad of other factors.
I would hazard a guess that if you created a flight and flew it once with the Orbx mesh and then again identically with the default mesh, there would be little difference between the amount of popping and 'stretched' textures, as the Orbx mesh just produces the same scenery shapes at a higher level of detail. Popping might increase a little as the sim has a bit more detail to load but in general mesh comes pretty far down the list of what is loading CPUs and GPUs.

Actually there is a way to still enjoy the March sale. All you need is a time machine like Dr Who's TARDIS. Once you have obtained your working time machine, simply head over to the point in the galaxy where the electromagnetic waves generated by the computers back in March have reached at the speed of light. Then log on and the discounts will still be there.
Only one small problem, you'll need to also find a wormhole that lets your transaction burrow back in time and emerge back in March, however, unlike time machines that occasionally surface on eBay, it might be more difficult to find.
A third and perhaps easier option is to pretend the sale finishes the day before the announced date and buy before that day is done.

Thank y'all, it was a nice quiet day, saw some friends, and yay! people are learning, no one gave me a present, so no need to find a home for something I don't need!

Orbx is a reseller for AUScene who developed the scenery.
This is from the Orbx Direct page :
This product has been produced by AUscene. For AUscene product support, please to go https://auscenes.com/pages/about-us

No problem with GPS. The transponder is not working.
I just fired up MSFS and this time I made sure the Optica was selected cold and dark first time after starting a flight with the Zenith, and this time the transponder didn't come on. So there is a bug, whether the devs have the intimate knowledge of MSFS coding required to fix it each time Asobo seem to make a change is an unknown.
It's not the end of the world, if you must start cold and dark, an easy fix is to quickly start a flight on a runway, go back to the main menu, and select the cold and dark parking spot, and away you go.

Maybe Asobo have configured some things to work with Windows 11? If so I'm not sure the devs would have any way to get around that.
-
I just ran a test, started cold and dark from these two scenarios:
1. Selected the aircraft from the main menu and then a parking spot, turned on the battery, and the GPS fired up fine.
2. Selected the C172 and loaded it at a parking spot, turned on the GPS, and then went back to the Optica, loaded it at a parking spot, and then turned on the battery, and the GPS fired up fine.
What OS are you running? I'm on Windows 11.

I'm starting to wonder if it might be something to do with different versions of some of Microsoft's base operating systems, like C+ etc?

In the newly updated Version 1.2.1, the transporer still does not work when starting cold and dark.
Sometimes you need to uninstall and reinstall to ensure all the updated files have been properly installed, try that and see.

Can someone tell me how I can upgrade to Burbank v2 - I purchased ver1 through Marketplace as and in-game download, but obviously there is record in my Orbx Account that I purchased ver 1. Want to upgrade, but would not purchase again. Thanks for any tips.
Purchase V2 it will be priced at $0. 00 then you can download and install.

At Orbx Direct if you purchase V2 it should cost $0.00 and you can then download and install.

Hi John
I also have Van Nuys Airport add on from Orbx installed. I have uninstalled that (as it always seemed bad on performance). It has helped make KBUR V2 and LA Basin area flyable again.
I'm running both at around half available LOD sliders, performance is good, and unless I fixate on the distant views, I don't notice any real difference in the sim immersion

Firstly, the free update is appreciated so thanks to Orbx for that.
Sadly on my machine it’s now a slide show so I’ve had to go back to V1.
Might be worth deleting the Content.xml and the Scenery Indexes and any cache you have, because V2 should be a better performer than V1. However, I had to reduce my LODs to 240 and 120 to avoid a slideshow in VR, and depending on your setup you might also have to reduce those sliders while in the KBUR/LAX basin.
-
In Orbx Central there are two KBUR Hollywood Burbanks listed. Make sure you select V2, which you have to download.
-
Yes. Uninstall V1 before installing V2. I think it will make you uninstall anyway. You can download V2 before you uninstall V1 if you want.

sydney harbour bridge on both end looks awful cityscape
The scenery has been developed to work with photogrammetry ON. With the PG off, the bridge ends are above the roads, but also, most of the roads in the area are distorted , and look terrible. The developer tried to get both options for PG available but it was impossible, and the decision was made to make the bridge compatible with PG ON.

Haven't made many video clips lately, coz VR is such fun but hard to share, so I went back into 2D to make this little effort.
Enjoy!

4.23GB panama city downloading at 156kbs
I'm on fiber, going to take 5 years downloading at this rate.
Can you guys start using AWS or something?
this is ridiculous.
Have a read of the various topics on this subject in the old support threads. They explain it is almost always your ISP and other parts of the internet that throttle the speeds, and Orbx has no control over that.

The best thing about MSFS photogrammetry is that it can be turned off. It looks ugly, takes ages to load and hampers performance much more than the autogen buildings. I was disappointed to see that the Sydney cityscape update was created to work best with the default photogrammetry turned on and there's no option to adapt it to the situation when photogrammetry is turned off, but obviously most people don't seem to mind the awful quality of the PG and those who turn it off are the minority.
The dev tried hard to get both PG on and off to work but PG just won't let that happen, so a decision had to go one way or the other. PG won, because MSFS has developed places like Canberra where PG is pretty well mandatory.
With PG off, there are many more problems that just the ends of the harbour bridge, many of the roads in the CBD are malformed and look worse than even the melted PG buildings.

Siimple Traffic No Traffic at Airports?
in Microsoft Flight Simulator
Posted
Might be a shortcoming of the traffic engine in MSFS too. Although only two aircraft had their transponders turned on, there would have been many aircraft sitting around waiting for their next departure.
Outside the scope of Simple Traffic but there might be an opening for a clever dev to make a program that adds some aircraft to the MSFS parking lots where say less than 30% of parking spaces are being used. Just a thought.
