I think you misunderstood what I said. I was talking about the thread on the P3d forum, not this one. The staff here on orbx have been very helpful compared to the LM staff,
Apparently, I did. My apologies.

Wow we have done more progress here in 24h on this bug than in 6 months on the p3d forum where the staff seems to be ignoring the thread completely... So thumbs up for ORBX.
Several staff members have contributed valuable information to this thread: Nick Cooper, Doug Sawatzky, Holger Sandmann.

Macca, I know they are both more or less acceptable these days, but to my grandfather and Lorna's father only Mac would do.

Oh, I know the history. There are MacDonalds and McDonalds, which is an Anglicized version. True descendants of the clan use the Mac.

My maternal grandfather was born in Scotland, a Campbell. I dated a young lady for years during high school whose name was MacDonald. Her father, who was born in Scotland, had serious difficulties with me for a while.

Old golf joke.
Foursome on the 7th tee near a road. A funeral procession winds past and Joe stands at attention.
Golfer 1: "C'mon, Joe. You're holding us up."
Joe: "Give me a break, guys. It's the least I could do for my poor wife."

No thanks, John. We get 350 or more days of sunshine here, great for golf. Need sunscreen, of course, since we are 4000 ASL. Has enough rain and gloom back East until I retired.

rain has come here. Got almost an inch so far this month. Then again, I live in the desert southwest and our normal annual rainfall is a tad over 6 inches.

Right, Teecee, I play golf three times a week with an 88-year-old who shoots his age once or twice a month. He says he feels older when he misses a round or two.

Several of us go to lunch on a more or less irregular basis. We now have a name for our group: Romeos. (Righteous Old Men Eating Out).

For example, the freeware Manfred Jahn C47 uses C47_dsd_fsx_xml_sound.gau.
Rename the new gauge to C47_dsd_fsx_xml_sound.dll
Once renamed, copy it into the panel folder and delete C47_dsd_fsx_xml_sound.gau
If you don't have the aircraft, you should, it is pretty much the definitive
version of this iconic aircraft and has features seen only at the very top
end of payware models.
Is the C 47 ready for P3d v.4?

I've had no problems at all so far with the new software. I have room on the drive where my ORBX files are stored and thus have no reason to migrate them.
