Still have problems. Should Orbx scenery be in both an Orbx Library and Community Folder?
-
Bassman,
i understand how it works. My question is about the fact that I have many, many addons in my Community folder as well as some links from Linker. AS I uinderstand it, all addons should be in the MSFS Addons (my name for it) folder and not it Community. If that is the case, wouldn't I have to move addons that are not in the new folder from Community in order to set up links?

My Addon Linker messed itself up somehow or other. I think I was doing some things incorrectly in any event.
1. Should ALL addons be moved from the Community folder to the MSFS Addons folder I created when I reinstalled Addon Linker?
2. What about those in Community that are currently links?
3. I have my Orbx products in two places (one for TEs and one for everything else), what do I with those?
Thanks for any guidance.

My advise would be to uninstall AccuSeason and wait for Asobo to implement seasons. The REX add-on can mess up things anywhere you go, not something I would want to have in my simulator.
I wonder how long that would take Asobo? SU21?

Thanks. No release estimate for AAU1?

There are, indeed, thousands of them on that ridge north of Palm Springs. Maybe not as thick as the scenery, but quite thick in RL.

An uncle of mine joined the RCAF after the USAAF turned him down on medical grounds and flew Hurricanes in the Battle of Britain. He returned to the U.S. after we got into the war and much to his annoyance, they made him an instructor. He transferred to gliders and flew one in on D-Day. Ended the war in P47s.
My father went into Normandy on D+1. He was invalided back to the U.S. after a couple of months due to sickness.

Thank you, Nick!. I think I knew that, but it didn't dawn on me!

Into a library, but they do show up in Community as well.

I had a bad add-on that was stopping MSFS from working properly. I renamed my Community folder, restarted MSFS and tried to move my add-ons back into the new community folder. Eventually, I found the culprit and deleted it. When I restarted, I found that the most of the folders in Community were empty (those went back to the bad add-on). This included all the Orbx scenery folders. I have started to reinstall them from Central by uninstalling and reinstalling there. Is this the proper way to do it? Or should I empty the install library first?

Thanks. Just another MSFS strikes again.

No performance hits, but for some reason taxiing aircraft sometimes spin around. Once, twice before continuing on their way or they just sit there and spin. Anybody else see this?
-
John, ma I ask what controllers you use with this aircraft? I found a tutorial by this fellow on setting up the TC CA Airbus throttle. It uses SPAD, which I am unfamiliar with.

OK, I understand now. Thanks.

I don't believe he has left Ukraine. For what it's worth, a great-nephew of mine who is in the Ukrainian army refers to it as Uk.
-
I think the UK he is referring to is Ukraine.

He will be missed. Prayers for his family.

To each his/her own. Let's not start another "mine's better than yours" thread.

Are you flying inside the cockpit? Sounds almost like Drone mode or whatever you call the view from behind the aircraft. I rarely stray from the cockpit views so I'm not sure.

I've flown into Oshkosh. It's a wild ride and a lot of stress/fun. The ATC folks -- all volunteers -- are absolutely top notch.

Pushback Toolbar can reportedly cause memory leaks that can affect the sim If you have it, uninstall it and see what happens.

I realize that I don't need two, but how does MSFS know t go to the ORB X Library folder rather than Community?
