I found that afer I posted, thanks. I was also wondering about other add-ons. Does reinstalling remove non-Orbx add-on airports?
-
P3d recommends a complete reinstall. For the past several updates, I'v only don client. What does a full reinstall mean for Orbx and other addons? Would I have to reinstall everything?

Seems Asobo is directing traffic now.

Just like MS, changing things for the sake of changing things. And, of course, you have to use the Xbox app to do it. I don't use Xbox, never have, never will. L

It's been in a couple of threads: will this be done for P3d? Yes, no, maybe?
-
I presume that this will not be released for P3d?
-
Yes, airlines still use Zulu time.

Also., still waiting for many to be sent to P3d v5. Probably in vain.

Two: Simon and Garfunkel in Central Park and Woodstock. I was sent to Woodstock by the newspaper I worked for just in case something happened...and it did!

My first solo landing after the CFI turned me loose at Oxford in Connecticut. .

Somehow to me, setting up a Discord page, changing the logo, etc. appear to be detracting from the purpose of Orbx -- developing scenery for the sims it supports. I know doing MSFS stuff is easier than P3d and XP, but the company seems to be paying more attention to corparatism than its core business. YMMV.

I agree to the extent that it appears P3d v5 is being left behind in the rush to get MSFS products out. Despite the "two trillion purchasers" of MSFS, I believe that a large majority of P3d v5 users may have purchased the new sim, but have left it on the shelf until more aircraft are developed for it. Many of those simmers I would think still want Orbx scenery moved to v5. I know I do.

Nick, what are the odds this doesn't prevent another questions in the next, say, 36 hours?

About to turn 78. Nice to know that I am one of the wee young ones on this thread. (One quarter MacDonald)
Still a mere lad of 76. One-half Campbell, not the soup..

My mother was a Campbell (grandfather born in Argyll). I dated a MacDonald for a couple of years. Her father, a Scot, and my grandfather were not at all happy.

Any chance for P3d or have we given up on it?

Wonderful new scenery, let's hope we get some updated aircraft to fly over it with.

All I want to know is when can I take a shower or do I still need to keep washing my hands?

Yes, quite good, but it's basically for airliners: de-boarding and boarding, catering, refueling, etc.

What ATC were you using, the default? It is an extremely poor version of real life.
P3d v5.3 not Recognized
in Orbx Central Support Forum
Posted
I installed P3d 5.3 following Nick's guidelines. Seems to have installed correctly, but Central does not recognize P3d in the drop down, only MSFS. I don't think any Orbx scenery is loaded (is there a specific scenery to test?).
I also found a leftover Orbx folder in the P3ds root. It had a several of folders in it. One was FTX_AU, which had an FTXAA_ORBXLibs folder, with a scenery folder inside that contained OF_Config.xml. Another was FTX_GLOBAL, which had FTX_AA_ESKS inside. There was also a Config folder with esks-config.json inside. The other was Scripts with orbx_cpl_ESKS.xml inside. What should I do with these?
