Yes, $59.99 for Academic.  I recall seeing it somewhere.

    Ok, thanks.

What I am not sure about is that if you have P3D v3.4 & keep it, then d/load v4 & install it as a separate stand alone sim - can you then download Orbx scenery that is v4 compliant, that you have already paid for & set up in v3.4 -  can you then install the v4 compliant Orbx scenery in V4 for free?? & run 2 separate sims?

BTW, version 4 is not an "upgrade", it's a new version and you have to pay for it. Upgrades (point versions like 4.0, 4.1), on the other hand, can't coexist as they share the same configuration directories.

    Kind regards Michael

Has a v4  price been published yet??

  3. Thanks for removing the attachment - and for checking the downloads. I tried a few myself and they seemed fine - but then I *thought* they were working last time I "fiddled" with that script   .

I presumed that as I was getting an apparently correct download prompt (correct filename etc.) all was hunky-dory. I'm glad it got flagged here pretty quickly :)

    Thanks,

    Adam.

Big thanks to Adam, Paul, Steve, & all who have been involved with the DX10 Fixer.

I loaded it this afternoon & made a few tweaks per the Guide & have had a couple of flights & can see the improvements already.

Some of them are very subtle, such as shadows around the cockpit, & light reflecting off dials.

The scenery has better clarity & the aircraft feel as if they are flying more smoothly.

I think I will pick up more of the  changes as I do more flying.

The Fixer is well worth the investment & the Guide is invaluable.

  4. Hmm, I have the same problem here, IDM warns that it looks like a web page,

downloaded it anyway and it won't open with either Foxit pdf reader or Firefox.

I'm sure Adam will fix it...no pun intended.

I've found a copy in my archives, from December 2014 so well up to date.

    Here you are.

    Nick

    Appreciate that.

    & it opened!! ::)

You don't by chance have "DX10Fixer-Read MeFirst.zip do you??

    Cheers

The original guide - produced by Paul "PJ" Johnson was a great help for me in checking my DX10 FSX setup. However - he decided he could no longer spare the time to keep it updated, so with his blessing (and a sigh of relief, I suspect!), I've taken over.

    The REVISED "How-to" Guide (v1.04 03 July 2014)

NOTE: This is very much an "on-going" guide, so keep checking for updates - either in this thread or on the NZFSIM site: DX10 Fixer "How-to" Guide: Related files

    Adam.

Have downloaded the Guide via Google & IE.

Have also tried from the NZSIM.org link.

Using Adobe Acrobat to open, however Acrobat says its not a .pdf. Won't open it.

    Any guidance appreciated.

    Thanks

    TTM
