Does he ever visit the forum Grant?
Indeed, a good question.

That´s what I suspect, too.

And coudn´t second that more. Thinking of VOZ, then OZx, then the slightly-known company Orbx - how much pleasure they have given us.

Thanks Gerold, I have used it for a few years now but typical me I don't utilise it's features. Do you notice a difference in load times when you disable scenery not required?
Cheers
Graeme
I´ll give it a try. In a scientific program: First start MSFS to adjust any potential updates for the day. Then make 3 starts with full add-on enableling. Then 3 starts with customized shortlist.
But first I fly!

Fantastic nature, and easy to reach from crowded places.

I print the receipts to a .pdf file and save the files to specific vendor/distributor folders. I have always found the receipts readable in a .pdf file.
That sounds so simple - and getting this easy workaround is the reason why I put my "problem" in the forum!

That would be another way. I have a spreadsheet already, including the prices I have paid. Nobody in my house may ever see it 😎

I suspect my bloated Community folder may be a culprit for slowing the process but if there is still a Community folder it would be nice to merge it some how.
Graeme, did you ever check that tool here: https://flightsim.to/file/1572/msfs-addons-linker
It is my way to start MSFS with just a minimum of active add-ons in the community folder.

Hi everyone,
do you print your receipts of your purchases via Orbx Direct?
I do that since I started simming, which helps me keeping the overview and, for 3rd party products, even helps me find out through which channel I have purchased the respective stuff (needed to know for updates and reinstallations).
But for some time now, the Orbx e-mail receipts are on black background, and when I print them not even the product name appears on the paper.
What are your opinions?
Would it be good if Orbx changes the layout of the receipts?

As I have stated here some times, I switch between the simulator worlds:
- MSFS for VFR and watching the great scenery (mostly default or freeware, if I do not know these places better than MSFS shows it).
- p3dv4 for IFR and using complex planes (so to say 777, 787, 320 or Q8-400). The combination of payware airports, detailed planes and a good ATC (I use Pro-ATC/X), which covers SIDs/STARs and the AI traffic is very rewarding to me.
And that brings me to my wishlist for
- a new MSFS: Should have such a reliable ATC, should get complex planes
- a new p3d: should have such great scenery as MSFS has - the rest is already perfect.

Let me think... we have got 9 qualified voters. 5 of them have already chosen Bluebear...
So my choice is rather effectless:
@boetie, Graeme, just ready for a dive!

When I fly VFR (meaning sightseeing, meaning MSFS), I am more or leass satisfied with the default plane level. Okay, I needed to add some more exotic planes and recently even an A2A one to the hangar (I have to learn the A2A now).
When I fly jets I was always disappointed with the default system (including airports and especially ATC). Jets must be as real as it gets for me. Yes, challenging, but also rewarding to me. That said, I still use P3D in most of these cases (though the scenery shocks me, meanwhile).

In Germany we have a saying:
"Mach es wie die Sonnenuhr, zähl die schönen Stunden nur!"
Do it like the sundial, count only the beautiful hours!
I think it is normal we forget the bad times faster and more regular.

You´re talking about P3D, aren´t you Wayne? In that case I can say: GSX.

The CowanSim Airbus H125 Ecureuil (aka Eurocopter AS350) is one of the few helicopters that is capable to fly higher than 7000 meters, which makes him suitable for exploration and rescue missions in mountain regions. On 14 May 2005, an AS350 piloted by Eurocopter test pilot Didier Delsalle touched down on the top of Mount Everest, at 8,848 m (29,030 ft), a record that has been confirmed by the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale. On 29 April 2010, a stripped-down AS350 rescued three Spanish alpinists, one at a time, from the slopes of Annapurna I, Nepal at an altitude of 6,900 m (22,640 ft); this set a new record for the highest such rescue. The record was increased to 7,800 m (25,590 ft), during the rescue of Sudarshan Gautam between Camps III & IV in Everest's Yellow Band on the morning of 20 May 2013.
In preparation for this years Everest climbing season I ran up an AS350 B3 At Phaplu,...
... climbed over the hills at about 10.000 ft...
... towards Lukla, the "classical" base for Everest tours. I am already pleased with the default scenery here.
A day later, the sky cleared up and I went on via Namche Bazar and Pangboche towards the Base Camp (which is not depicted in default scenery), where the hard work starts, both for climbers and helicopters.
I tried a direct attempt across the Khumbu icefield towards Camp 1, but failed to gain enough altitude.
I had to circle around before I could reach 29.500 ft. Mt. Everest to the left, Lhotse ahead, the last 2 camps below.
Gliding down was a bit easier, but one should not underestimate the 20.000+ ft "hills" in the area, before one can relax at 9.500 ft in Lukla.-

Thanks, Gerold. Sounds like (pun intended) a lot of fun. Right now, our great-granddaughter is limited to "goo, gah, burble, and shriek," but pretty soon she will be ready for the game. A grateful la, la, la to you.
And, did you get the song matching the keywords? Mustn´t be too hard, if you only have John Denver to choose from...
