Okay, the on screen error message was generated by the double header in the "TE_USA_POI_RG_Sheraton_Grand_Seattle_Union_Street.obj " file.
I have a fix for the Jordan dam. You wouldn't believe what I found on my way to check it out, building facade in front of the dam and facades in another lake east of there.
I love it when you say there's a fix!

Just now, Sentry11 said:
That's an XP default scenery file. It may be best to run the XP installer again as that file may be corrupted.
Are you still receiving on screen error messages.
No. What I meant to say with " I let the installer repair it" = I already did repair the issue. Only error left is the dam.
-
Turns out it was in the log all the time. As it happened in WA I was focused on looking at all stuff there, and blinded to see what the log says in clear terms:
WARNING: we are missing the texture: Resources/default scenery/900 forests/Global_trees.dds.
Funny thing is, the file was there. I let the installer repair it.
That now leaves me with the missing texture for the dam.
-
I now applied the correction to the Sheraton file.
I did what Jon said.
Result: No On-Screen error message.
Those seem to be "legacy" errors and could be ignored:
0:00:29.717 E/SCN: Failed to find resource 'Autogen3_ALB.png', referenced from file 'Custom Scenery/Orbx_B_US_Washington_TE_Overlay/buildings/farms/silos/'.
0:00:29.717 W/SCN: Missing object lib_s/trains/F_18.31.obj from package Custom Scenery/Orbx_B_US_Washington_TE_Overlay/roads/; replacing with blanThe Jordan River Diversion dam error persists (only in log file, not on screen). It is also a visible error (see screenshot).
0:00:29.717 E/SCN: Failed to find resource '../victoria_bc_textures/TE_USA_RG_Jordan_River_Diversion_Dam_ALB.png', referenced from file 'Custom Scenery/Orbx_A_US_Washington_TE_Custom/objects/victoria_bc/'.
Now I'd love to solve that issue and also find out what scenery triggered the onscreen message.

Thank you guys. Will report back asap.

This topic it must be:
At least there you asked me about that in order for me to confirm.
What I do not get is: If it is a screnery load order issue between WA and Oregon, why does Orbx not use a naming convention that's fits? They already work with alphabetical sorting (A / B / C …). That must be the most easy bugfix imaginable.
-
-
I already had that mod, but scenery loads in alphabetical order – so that's why. WA is below Oregon (wich had to be the case solving another issue I had around Portland iirc.
There's no other way around than to touch loading order in this case, @Sentry11? Like adding an exclusion at the right place? Thanks for the screenshot btw.

@Jon ClarkeIt's about TE Washington. As I said to your first question, 1S2 does not trigger the onscreen message. It verifies fine, no backup used.
-
What needs to be done to see the Tillamook Creamery like in THIS thread? (Air museum is fine for me, added the fix).
-
Loaded 1S2 and closed. attached
-
Well, I just rad it is closed temporarily dure to Covid, but seems nobody cared about it breaking down during those months in lockdown. Please see the screnshots. Is there anything we can do about it?
-
Thanks, Jon. I believe 1S2 and KORS do not trigger a message, but WA does. I guess I should run a "Überprüfung der Dateien" before posting the log so that it writes there what it finds in WA? Did that. File attached.

I have the following issues and seek a solution. Any help appreciated!

ah, got it. That's the easy one. fine

hm, one more question @Jon Clarke. How would I move from the X-Plane folder to a library?
-
Running an install helps. It finds the files and accepts the move. So thos one can be closed, thank you @Jon Clarke

Orbx Central will recognise symbolic Links but not shortcuts.
See the attached User Guide for Orbx Central page 21:

Moving a library to another location Moving a library is painless with Central and can be achieved in a few steps only: 1. Go to Settings > Libraries. 2. Note the directory of the library you’d like to move. 3. Remove the library that you would like to move (remember: this doesn’t delete the actual files). 4. Close Central by right-clicking on the tray and selecting “quit”. 5. Move the directory to the new location in your operating system. This step may take a while depending on your disk speed. 6. Start Central again 7. Open Settings, and then the Libraries page 8. Press ‘Create New Library’ 9. Select the new library location, give it a name and then press ‘Save’. Central will automatically scan the library for installed products, and then configure your simulators appropriately
Does not work on OSX it seems. I moved Florida, aliased it (it loads fine) and Central shows as not installed.
Edit: Think I found the reason. Somehow Central did not recognise or save my new library setting. I'll try again

Sorry if obvious, but I do not see it: Is there an easy way to move installed scnerey to another drive or folder, but so that Orbx Central does recognize it (other than delete and fresh install)?
Of course I can move stuff and alias it all myself, but then Central doesn't recognise it as installed anymore.

@Sentry11perfect. thanks so much!

@Sentry11would you mind taking a look at the next similar issue I stumbled upon. Near Estacada, Oregon. Near 5S9 and OR66.

Just a head up.
Orbx does not include an *.xpl plugin for Mac Users. It needs to go there:
AFL_ARLINGTON_APT1 --> plugins --> GroundTraffic
If you're on metal like I am, you need to compile a newer version of the plugin yourself, instructions here:
