    Thanks Calum

Now please navigate to your Scotland scenery folder such as Orbx\FTX_EU_SCO_05_SCENERY\scenery, and disable these two files in the image below.

You may have needed to reinstall Scotland first, then install the airport.

    Hi Doug,

    I will try that today.

I did only reinstall EU Scotland and not EGPH, and the issue with the taxiway signs and terminal building was back already.

I am thinking it may be the download in the thread above from Nick to remove grass in the taxiway, so I will remove that too if it was left behind after uninstalling the EU Scotland scenery and EGPH, then try again.

    Thanks

    Hi Calum

Then I would try a full uninstall and reinstall of both Scotland and EGPH, but first delete any backup of these that you may have.

    Hi Doug,

I've done that. I did notice that there was a backup on my PC in addition to my library. I uninstalled EU Scotland and EGPH and deleted the Orbx back up.

With them deleted EGPF was fine. No signs on taxiways, and no planes parked half inside the terminal building.

After reinstalling EU Scotland again with a fresh download, the same issues returned unfortunately.

    Thanks

  3. Hi Doug,

I have my Orbx library on a separate HDD, and all my Orbx scenery installed in that.

I have just verified all my P3D Orbx products, and then synched with the sim. The problem is still there.

Some of the gates are quite mucked up at EGPF too. I have attached a screenshot at the bottom of this post to show this. Whether any other airports are the same I don't know but I have only noticed these problems at EGPF.

I did previously have an issue with grass on taxiways at EGPF. After posting about that one here, Nick linked to some files to download which solved that issue, but I wonder if that has caused these other issues.

I have put a link to that thread below.

    Thanks,

    Hi Calum

First, please install Orbx Objectflow it is free and required for all your Orbx products to work correctly.

You will need to go to settings/Libraries and create a new Library in a location of your choosing (It is highly recommended to create the new library outside of the Users folder. Preferably something such as C:\ Orbx Library), this is required for the installation of ObjectFlow , then it will be installed and use 7mb of space in that new folder, and everything will work properly. You do not need to use this folder for anything else, Orbx Central will then give you the choice to install your products to that folder or to the root simulator folder.

    Hi Doug,

I have installed Orbx Objectflow but the runway signs on the taxiway are still there unfortunately.

    Thanks Doug,

    I will try that.

I recently moved my Orbx library to a new HDD as it was very big, so it is already out of my user folder.

  6. Hi,

I have a few runway signs on taxiways at Glasgow EGPF in P3D v5.1.

They are not there if I remove all Orbx products.

I have attached a screenshot of the issue, together with a screenshot of the Orbx products installed.

There may or may not be similar issues at other airports, but as I use EGPF a lot I have noticed them there.

    Thanks for any solution.

    Regards

  7. After I had installed the True earth Northern California, I wanted to try and up my graphics settings to make the most of the scenery.

I pressed the keyboard buttons to bring up the framerate numbers at the top of my screen. It always stayed near enough to 30 but I had bad stutters as I was coming in to land. After more googling I found some other forum threads saying that text at the top of your screen can cause stuttering in the latest version of P3D.

I havn't brought up any text since, and so far no more stutters.

A Google search took me to this thread.

I just bought true earth Northern California for P3D v5.1 and I must say it looks great, however I was getting really bad stuttering in the last 1-200 feet coming in to land at KSFO, as well as noticably less smooth performance than usual.

I disabled full screen optimisation as described above and I now have smoother performance and no stuttering coming in to land.

    Thanks

My stuttering came back. The new true earth scenery has resulted in my HDD drive only having 27 GB remaining free of 1000 GB so maybe that's the reason.

I have a new HDD ordered that I will move my Orbx library to. Hopefully that fixes it.

    Thanks

Yes. There is a fantastic freeware program called 'AI Companion'.
It's a very powerful in-sim AI traffic management tool.

Want to limit the total number of AI aircraft? Want to limit to traffic at one specific airport or a handful of specific ones? Want to remove all AI on the ground when above a pre-determined altitude? Want to retain all enroute traffic when above another pre-determined altitude?

The creator is very active both with updating the program and responding to queries on the AIG (Alpha India Group) AI traffic forums.

If the mods here don't mind a freeware utility being highlighted, here is the link to the specific forum thread over at AIG with the file link in the first pinned post:

    Thanks!

  11. I dont really want a lot of other aircraft in the air at this point, as it's a pain having to do go arounds, and I'm not using ATC currently.

I would like to have more traffic parked at the airports as they are a bit like ghost towns, but not have more planes actually in the air.

Do the traffic programs allow you to do this?

Thanks for any help from users who know the answer.

    Regards
