OLDflyboy
Purchased and installed it yesterday and discovered that there are no ramp or gates for parking. The choices are four (4) runways: 11 and 29 which are the actual runways. The other two "runways", 1 and 2, are actually parking locations. The ORBX freeware version has half a dozen or more spots for parking, Have I a flawed install? Also noted is that the payware version has the terminal area below the runway level with those rather steep ramps to or from the runway. Is PAKT really like that? Reminds me of a private strip in Virginia, It is so steep that there is a traffic light at the top triggered by a plane taxiing up from landing to warn anyone getting ready for takeoff.,,about a 30 degree slope if memory serves. Holger Sandmann
Hi Neal, your installation is correct and the real Ketchikan is indeed like that: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/97129-pakt-elevation-issues/?p=880619 It's also a good idea to check out the manual. ojiito
Can't answer about the parking spots, as mine seem fine, but yes the airport is really like that. Weird the first time I saw it.
birdguy
Since Orbx PAKT has no ai traffic or taxiing aircraft I just pick an open space to park in. Nothing is going to bother me. Then I save the flight so my plane is waiting for me when I want to depart from that spot. Noel
