Valhawk
Hi all, Long story short, I had some issues with all my scenery add-ons and therefore decided to start from scratch. But now, after installing FSX:SE and Steve's dx10 patch, I get this error message from the installer (picture) when I try to install Global. It happens just before the installer backs up the old textures. What does this mean??? Thx for all the help! http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2015/05/08/ErrorFTXglobal998e0.jpg
Nick Cooper
It means that the installer cannot find a registry entry for the simulator you are trying to install into. You need to ensure that you are using the correct installer from the menu and that the registry entry in in the right place. This link to a FAQ topic should help you. http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/72243-radio-buttons-error-message-during-install/
Valhawk
Problem solved! FSX:SE never completely removed all files. When I reinstalled the game, the old settings were back. I had to use Revo uninstaller to get rid of most files and clean the registry. After manually looking for the rest of the files, I finally managed to get a fresh clean install and was able to easily add all the add-ons. Now all looks great, and I can finally fly! Thanks for the help!
