FTX Vector Configurator - Airport Elevation Corrector

I am trying to use the airport CZAM but it distorts as you descend altitude and at runway level you are below ground.  I have removed all Add-on scenery except for a Global Vector file that refused to be unticked in the FSX Library ... all to no avail ... the problem persists.  I asked other members on the FSDevelopers Web to open CZAM and see if they could duplicate the problem ... they couldn't ... the airport is as it should be.

I recall using the Elevation Corrector some time ago and I didn't notice any changes in the airports I frequent until recently I tried to use CZAM and experienced the distortion which I couldn't resolve.  I did a scan on CZAM with a utility from ADE and it brought up the following result:-

Layer 0001, Active=yes, FileName C:\Program Files .......MFSX\Scenery\Wworld\ADE_FTX_NRM_CZAM_elevation_adjustment BGL   (the ADE stands for Airport Design Editor which I use to do airport scenery)

I don't use the NRM scenery although I own it.  I tried placing a "flattening" polygon over the entire airport without any improvement.  The stock CZAM show an alt of 1750.997 and on the runway in the Trike FSX indicated 1747.5 feet.

What are the possibilities that Elevation Corrector adversely affected CZAM?  In the check boxes "Able/Disable"  I didn't see any reference to CZAM.

Regards,

Ken

Hi Ken,

Vector doesn't change the default altitude of Salmon Arm airport but NRM does. Thus, if you're not using NRM at all then you need to delete or deactivate ADE_FTX_NRM_CZAM_elevation_adjustment.BGL in \Scenery\World\scenery.

If you do want to use NRM and Vector at the same time then you have to run Vector's AEC tool so that its CZAM file, namely ABP_CZAM.bgl, gets deactivated.

Cheers, Holger
