Gurdy Posted May 3, 2009 Share Posted May 3, 2009 Leg 2 has us departing Port Lincoln in the morning we are heading into the red centre and Ayres Rock or Ularu as it is known as. We will go via Ceduna and then back again. A short 2 day trip. Passing over Tumby Bay Heading inland... Nice winery at Cape Radstock so we thought we would drop in and grab a couple of bottles... Passing over Streaky Bay airstrip (needs a makeover).. Across the bay heading for Ceduna.... On the other side of the bay, Ceduna not far away now.... Touching down at Ceduna for some dinner before heading on... Departure and heading for Coober Pedy.... Night arrival at Coober Pedy.... Next morning we left Coober Pedy and headed further inland.... Some intersting looking Sand Dunes, like snakes on the ground... .. and interesting hills... As we started to descend Ularu apears in the distance.... Passing over Ularu.... Arrived at YAYE ... After a days sightseeing it was time for the night run back to Ceduna... The rock at Sunset, great colouring.... Beautiful sunset at 10000' The rest of the trip was at night... so pretty uneventful.
