pilottj
Hey folks The Glideslope for KMRY ILS 10R is off a bit, appears to be too far down runway, leading to abnormal ILS approaches This screenshot flown in the Cherokee shown near the DH The KMRY ILS 10R approach can be found here. http://skyvector.com/files/tpp/1504/pdf/00271IL10R.PDF The glideslope for the GPS LPV 10R approach appears to be more normal. This screenshot from the Sklyane taken just below DH. Here is GPS 10R http://skyvector.com/files/tpp/1504/pdf/00271RZ10R.PDF Since KMRY is typically foggy, it is an excellent place to practice IFR approaches. It appears the KMRY Glideslope just needs to moved closer to the approach end of 10R or have it's elevation adjusted. The GPS approaches don't really have anything to do with the scenery, but placement of navaids do, especially if elevations are adjusted. If you guys need help testing approaches for your airports, I would be happy to help. I am IFR certified but not current. Cheers TJ
Jarrad Marshall
G'day TJ, No worries at all - you can find an updated version of the KMRY APX here which should address the issue for you - let me know how you go with this. Cheers, Jarrad
