cwchute
Hello everyone, I downloaded the FTX ORBX Library and the FTX Global NA, and they seemed to install ok, no problem locating the Steam FSX directory, and there IS a scenery.cfg file in there, but FTX Central says it can't find it. Is it looking in the FSX directory or in the ORBX folder for that file? I see no way to direct it to look elsewhere than where it is looking for it.... Do I need to put a copy of the .cfg file in that ORBX folder? Thanks in advance....
Nick Cooper
Welcome. I assume you are trying out the Olympic Peninsula demo? The scenery.cfg file is in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX, however, if you have FSX installed as well as FSX Steam, it will be in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX-SE. This will be the case also if you have removed FSX but not cleared all the registry entries. The Program Data folder is hidden by default in Windows Explorer, you may have to change the setting to view hidden files and folders. There is support for FSX Steam but only if it is the sole version of FSX installed, you will see from the two topics below, running them both on the same PC requires some working around. cwchute
Thank you Nick, I have just FSx_SE installed, but Steam is located on another drive than my OS WinXP. I suspect that may be an issue. I will have a look at the threads you linked to. Thanks again. Chris
