I was flying past Cairns on a flight from Mareeba - Townsville and there are four white X's along the length of the runway. I'm fairly sure 12/30 been closed for the best part of 6 years from what the guys at North Queensland Aero Club indicated to me after I asked when I landed in Townsville. Jarrad Marshall Posted March 21, 2015 Share Posted March 21, 2015 G'day Dominique, Runway 12-30 at Cairns has been closed to traffic, with both RPT and smaller GA now using the primary 15-33 runway. This makes sense as the intersection of Rwy 30 and taxiway B was a notorious hotspot for runway incursions. That being said, rwy 12-30 is still available in the sim version (including the most recent patch), although for logistical reasons we didn't make it available for AI use.
