Gurdy
Well I had a few beers last night so we are not getting away until mid morning.... time to say Goodbye to Goolwa. Crossing Cape Jervis on route to Cuttlefish bay on Kangaroo Island. Touch and go at Cuttlefish Bay and then back to the mainland where will stop at Aldinga for a snack and some fuel. Parked up at Aldinga ... once we leave here we will be flying north following the Adelaide hills. Adelaide hills .. lovely scenery Touch and go at Warren reservoir.. this is a bumpy little strip. Continuing north over Kapunda. Thought we would land at Jamestown for lunch, we still have some miles to cover. A good opportunity to stretch the legs. Heading south, pass over Crystal Brook Over Kadina Ardrossan mine - where BHP mine Dolomite. Stop at Minlaton for some afternoon tea .... Out across the bay, heading for Thistle Island.... Thistle island is in the distance... Gorgeous white cliffs.. our own white cliffs of Dover End of the first leg ahead, and time for a pee break before starting leg2 Parked up at Port Lincoln. Looks like we have a pretty bad oil leak, so I am going to have to leave this old girl here. There is a Belanca Viking Turbo for hire here and as I have some long legs to fly I might just take this baby out for a spin! See you next leg....
