ilive2fly
Hey, I just bought the RV4, and it appears there are some major issues here. See screenshot? Any ideas. The ailerons are stuck all the way to the left. The plane flies fine, and my hardware is centered. Also the pilots feet are sticking out of the floor. The plane flies good, but animations of the stick and the ailerons is not working. The other control surfaces appear to be animated correctly. Thanks for any help! Cheers
Phil Manhart
I use the RV4 a lot and I cannot say I've ever seen what you have in your screenshot. Do you by chance use any camera utility like EZCA?
ilive2fly
I do have EZDOK but how would that affect the animations of the stick and ailerons?
Phil Manhart
Have you run the EZCA Config utility since installing the RV4?
ilive2fly
No...What would that have to do with it? Should I uninstall the aircraft, and try doing a re-install?
Phil Manhart
You could try an uninstall/reinstall. Just delete the RV4 folder from the Simobjects\Airplanes\ folder and reinstall making sure to use "Run As Administrator" on the installer just in case there are any permission issues that caused the problem last time. ilive2fly
I tried a re-install, and still no dice... Very frustrating. How about some tech support here? Anybody? I ALWAYS run ALL installers with "Run as Administrator".... Can't figure out what it is... All my other aircraft are fine...
Phil Manhart
I'll see if I can contact Jared, the developer of the plane, and see if he can weigh-in on the problem.

Guest
Hi, I just reinstall the RV4 v2 and I have this: On yours, some textures are missing and the pilot is not at the right place. So, the first thing to do is downloading again the installer from FSS to be sure that it's not corrupted. Then, check your nVidia drivers and your .NET components(latest through Windows update). Don't forget to do a virus scan to remove virus or malware. If not properly, there may be a corruption into core of FSX and Windows. a corruption in core of FSX. Ed Correia
Maybe check that Advanced Animations is enabled in the Display Settings of FSX?
Phil Manhart
Hey ilive2fly, The developer of the Victa Airtourer has chimed in separately and noted that he has seen problems like yours before with a corrupt model and/or animations file. He suggests wiping the RV4 installation and the installation files and re-downloading it before trying a reinstall.
