dxtfixer finds errors in alpha layer of textures

I just reinstalled Global and OpenLC EU

 

DXTFixerX found the following errors in the alpha layer of these textures

 

FIXED: C:\Games\FSX\Scenery\World\Texture\123b2hw1.bmp
FIXED: C:\Games\FSX\Scenery\World\Texture\123b2su1.bmp
FIXED: C:\Games\FSX\Scenery\World\Texture\123b2wi1.bmp
FIXED: C:\Games\FSX\Scenery\World\Texture\124b2fa1.bmp
FIXED: C:\Games\FSX\Scenery\World\Texture\124b2hw1.bmp
FIXED: C:\Games\FSX\Scenery\World\Texture\124b2sp1.bmp
FIXED: C:\Games\FSX\Scenery\World\Texture\124b2su1.bmp
FIXED: C:\Games\FSX\Scenery\World\Texture\124b2wi1.bmp

congratulations to DXTFixerX: those are seven years old default textures not used by us. I'm not even sure they are used by default FSX because the format is from FS9 and they aren't referenced in terrain.cfg.


 


It's one of the reasons I strongly dislike these kinds of sledgehammer "fixers"; they have no knowledge if or how or why a particular file is used, or in the particular format it happens to be in.

The files were installed by Global v1.30
