teecee
I have All the "world" products installed (global OLC and vector) but would like some advice re mesh please. Do I need a comprehensive mesh of the globe? and if so, what is the best one to buy?.. I have FSGenesis British Isles, and a decent mesh for Australia, but that's it. Thanks. Teecee. Wolter van der Spoel
Hi Terry, the mesh in the rest of the world ain't that great with bog standard fsX, recommended would be the FS Global 2010 FTX version, no fps impact and looks a wee bit better than bog standard fsX mesh see these screens for comparison the island of Java FTXGlobal + plain fsX FTXGlobal + FSGlobal2010
olderndirt
A world wide mesh that handled every bump accurately would be a massive download but I think FS Global has the best attempt.
teecee
Thanks Wolter.. Since posting above I did some more browsing, and that was the Mesh I had sort of decided on if indeed I got advice to get mesh.. Thanks for the input. One question though, I have FSGenesis nextmap for the British Isles and all of Aus installed in mty sim, and I wonder will the world version replace those do you think? I have been trying to get to FSGenesis website for some time now to get this question answered, but the site seems to be permanently down. Teecee. PS; Thanks Olderndirt, your Post came in as I was writing the above.. T.
dominique
For any point of the globe, the tightest mesh will cover any other mesh you may have in the sim and be the only visible. The only issue is when a scenery has been fit to a looser mesh (very rare occurence for newer sceneries).
Wolter van der Spoel
in other words, the highest mesh resolution that is installed will be displayed, so in principle they won't bite eachother
