YQNS Trees on paved runway

Recommended Posts

Coming in to Queenstown (YQNS) to land I noticed there were trees growing from much of the paved runway. I though these might just be a scenery glitch so I landed anyway and promptly crashed when I impacted the trees.

I'm using the Australia SP4 terrain region, and I hadn't visited YQNS before installing it.

Is this a know issue, and any way to fix it?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi there Mark,

I do remember finding a fix for this some time back, quite possibly in the links below. I'm away on holiday at the moment so you might have to look into this using the links. Anyway if you type in this Forum Search "Queenstown YQNS Tasmania" there are a few threads regarding trees on the runway @YQNS, or in the links below you may find the answer. I think it involves installing OZx_AUS 3.0 3.1 3.2 3.3 3.4 +OZx libs 1.0 1.1,  a solution is part of OZx3.3 but you must install OZx Complete in sequence placing the OZx library entries above Orbx entries, you can DL these packages from OZx Download page, well worth installing + it gives you many more places of interest to fly in Australia. http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/files/file/1825-ozx-au-complete-ozx-na-complete-ozx-libraries/  follow the install instructions.

The issue is also discussed here: http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/topic/5919-yqns-scenery-problem/?hl=%2Byqns+%2Bscenery+%2Bproblem no need to install the file mentioned it should be fixed in the OZx package.
