ScottecLEMD
Hi Having spent most of the day slewing around Scotland I must say I am completely blown away by the detail, even up in the Shetland and Orkneys - incredible. However, Barra, EGPR, the real life white sands have given way to a greyed out mud looking texture which is a real disappointment. See attached FTX EU Scotland 002 pic. Alex Goff
Hi Ken, What you are seeing is snow covered hills and snow-less sandy beaches. That is correct for the winter time.
ScottecLEMD
Hey Alex Thanks for the info, I will rewind my clock to summertime to see how it looks. However, even in winter time, the sandy beach is still white. Having flown there in real life several times, the white sands and clear blue seas are an awesome sight, as is landing on the beach. michael63
If you want a detailed scenery for Barra, another developer has made one that will fit on top of Orbx.

John Dow
Google is your friend. I found about three versions including payware.
ScottecLEMD
This is what the real sand textures look like - a much lighter shade than that of the ORBX. Thr ORBX ones look like dark mud ), even in summer! Regards Ken
