Mike Sierra
Arriving at Sand Island (HI99) using P3D v2.4 became the most curious landing I ever had in a FlightSim! Cross-checking with Google Earth and P3D’s own map it turned out that the runway is ‘slightly’ offset: Nevertheless: It’s impossible to leave the ‘runway’ – the plane submerges immediately.Could be something for correction? Sylvain Delepierre
Hi Mike, Probably a misplaced default airport. Vector has corrected the shore and now it's in the water. All you can do is request Neil's team to correct it here http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/85688-ftx-enhanced-freeware-airport-requests/
Mike Sierra
Probably a vector misplacing of the runway. The screenshot of Google Earth shows that the island is placed correctly at the portside of the plane - only the runway is shifted. Also, when taking a look into 'P3D's grandfather', FsX (where I have no OrbX data installed) I can see that the original data (from FsX) have a runway placed ONTO the island. Not aside from it. But there are more of these 'funnies'. Another one is Spanish Frigate Shoals (PHFS). It's the same there. The link leads to freeware airports requests. Neither Sand Island nor Spanish Frigate Shoals are contained there. Michael.
Mike Sierra
Deactivating FTX Global Vector in the Scenery library changes the image totally: Michael.
