pannellgj
Some time back, my mom told me that whenever I was ready to get rid of my old and well-used laptop, she would be glad to have it. So I'm thinking of investing in a replacement, and I thought I might as well get one that is powerful enough to run FSX on it. I've read where some of you in the community have laptops that are powerful enough and have the graphics cards to support it. Was I wrong in thinking this? I hope I'm not violating any forum rules by asking if some of you could share what kinds of laptops you use that are capable of supporting FSX and ORBX scenery. Thanks, Garland
retep49
Hello Garland, I use a laptop for FSX now for more than 4 years. See the specifications in my settings. A few months ago I bought a second laptop a Asus G750JS-T4067H i7-4700HQ,8/750GB+512 special for FSX. And I can tell you that FSX runs very smoothly. FSX is installed on the HDD and windows 8.1 is installed on the 256 GB SSD. Peter

pannellgj
Thanks guys for the information. It's good to know that it's possible. I think I'll go ahead and pull the trigger on this... Garland
Jester945271
Hello Garland I also use a lappy for all my FSX and P3D stuff. I have an Alienware M18x R2. Intel I7-3940XM CPU, 32Gb RAM and 2 * Nvidia GTX 680M in SLI. Boot Drive MSATA, FSX, Scenery and stuff on Samsung 840 500Gb SSD. Works great, the only thing I have issues with is I have a SIM PIT too and the USB connections can be painful occasionally. Aside from that go ahead and pull the trigger.
