Hi there...

i have a little problem with my 3d lights.

they switch off while it´s still really dark in the sim.

it´s not the middle of the night but still in the beginning of sunrise.

all the Night textures on the buildings switch off as well :(

any clue what might cause it ?

thankful for any idea :)

cheers

Hi Bruce

and thanks for your answer.

I wasnt "blaming" ORBX for it :) i just never saw it happen before .... maybe its just because its more obvious with all the 3d ligths suddenly shutting off while its dark outside. :)

is there a way of telling FSX at what time to switch over ? ...

cheers

i guess i dont know enough to mess around with a hex on fsx :)

some day when its time to reinstall i might give it a try and see what can be done.

but if i understand you have to do so everytime you start fsx or is it a one time change in the exe and its done for ever and lights are given let´s say an extra 45mins of glow ?

thanks bruce !

cheers

If memory serves me right, someone from the ORBX Team (JV?) replied already in a related thread that it's not at all trivial to change this behavior. It came with the switch to the new lighting system, and they sure had already changed it if it could be done the easy way.

This said, I'd still vote for investigating ways to change that lights on/off point in time, which I find even more disturbing in dawn, btw.

Kind regards, Michael
