bandito
When attempting to install library updates the installer defaults to a location that does not correspond to the location of my FSX and P3D files, i.e., they are not on my "C" drive. How do I change the install location from the automatically selected/default "C" drive to another drive?
Wolter van der Spoel
seems you have moved your main fsX or P3D folder from it's original location, the installer looks for the registry entry and if that points to the location where fsX or P3D where installed originally Our installers rely on your Windows registry to determine the location of your FSX main folder. If there's a discrepancy that means your registry entries for FSX are incorrect and should be fixed first with one of the available freeware tools; see https://www.fullterrain.com/freeware (at the bottom of the page) or http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/FSX-Registry-Utility-Download-74741.html Cheers, Holger
bandito
Holger, FSX and P3D are not on the same drive. I've no problem with updating libraries in FSX. It's P3D that's the problem. I'm running it from an external hard drive for drive space reasons. The fixes you suggested are fine for FSX, but seem to be of no help re: the P3D situation. Holger Sandmann
Hi there, there's no equivalent registry tool for P3D I'm aware of but LM have posted the required registry key on their FAQ so you can make the changes manually with your Windows' regedit: http://www.prepar3d.com/SDKv2/LearningCenter/getting_help/getting_help.html Cheers, Holger
