Here's a couple of shots from approach vectors. You'll notice all the roads are in place, but we probably need to fine tune the landclass for the housing. Easy to do, and post-release we'll be continuing the landclass updates anyway, so when you get your hands on FTX next week, just post feedback on the support forums and we can rectify the area for you ok? Auzy Posted February 28, 2008 Share Posted February 28, 2008 I'd have to agree, was out there today, and other then the weird beaches and weird clipping on the golf courses (dunno if its the angle of the camera?) , which isn't much of a concern to me anyway, thats pretty much exactly what i saw from the window (well, after I turned around when my flight instructor pointed out I was flying away from moorabbin airport accidentally, but thats another story). All I gotta do is fly near carrum and see if the field I used today for forced landings is there (I'll take my Garmin forerunner with me tomorrow, so I can get an exact location on google maps), because anyone who uses the same instructor as me probably uses it for practicing forced landings But, despite only being 15 or so hours into flying, I certainly feel like with FTX, I could give flying to Essendon or Coldstream a try and actually be able to follow the scenary accurately. Auzy Posted March 1, 2008 Share Posted March 1, 2008 Yeah, I probably will till at least my first solo (and probably PPL, but I'll slow down a bit when I go solo), because I already have at least 13 hours, and after learning circuits, its all gotten a bit easier now (and more manageable). So I probably will. And with FTX, I certainly think it will help me keep ahead of the lessons a bit. Flying is more fun when you also do landing and stuff I guess, and you actually know what you are doing. Otherwise it can be a bit frustrating.
