CheeChako
I read and followed the post by Stratto with this problem and applied the NET repair and also re-installed orbxlibs to no avail. This problem occurred at the end of installing GLOBAL where it opens FTX which then froze with the error message. Will await your reply. Thank You Philis message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at FTXCentral.FTXC.DisplayRegionList() at FTXCentral.FTXC.InitAll() at FTXCentral.FTXC.Timer1_Tick(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.OnTick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.TimerNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5483 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- FTXCentral Assembly Version: 1.0.4.3 Win32 Version: 1.0.4.3 ---------------------------------------- Microsoft.VisualBasic Assembly Version: 8.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 8.0.50727.5483 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5483 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5483 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- System.Runtime.Remoting Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5483 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- System.Configuration Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5483 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- System.Xml Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5483 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- vyz40knh Assembly Version: 1.0.4.3 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- System.Core Assembly Version: 3.5.0.0 Win32 Version: 3.5.30729.5420 built by: Win7SP1 ---------------------------------------- esrq0fin Assembly Version: 1.0.4.3 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. Ed Correia
Hi, could you please try this, go to ORBX\Scripts\FTXCentral\Regions and delete the LastAppliedConfig.ftx file
CheeChako
Hi Ed, Wow, thanks for the lightening response. Did as requested and all seems to work well. Problem solved. Two questions: Orbx Base does not show up in the scenery library, is this normal? Also do I need to remember this fix on a re-install or if this issue occurs again? Thank you very much. CheeChako
Hi Ed, I thought my problem had been fixed but on further exam I see when FTX Central is open all I have is a Default Icon and the North America icon for the NA blue scenery that is installed. No where can I find Global Base to indicate it is now installed. Something isn't right. Please advise when you have time. Thank You. Phil

chris6273
Hi, could you please try this, go to ORBX\Scripts\FTXCentral\Regions and delete the LastAppliedConfig.ftx file I had the same issue when installing FTX England, and this solved it for me! Thank you Ed! Hopefully this fix can be included in a future patch.
