ACTIVE i really mssed up FTX GLOBAL openLC EUROPE please help

Hello Team,

 

I am having major problems with FSX since installing FTX GLOBAL openLC EUROPE.  I will refer to as GLOBAL EUROPE (typing relief).

Before I get into my problems with GLOBAL EUROPE

 

I want to make sure I have the correct required ORBX programs. In my FTX Central list of installed products I show:

 

FTX GLOBAL BASE PACK-version 1.20 December 2013

FTX GLOBAL VECTOR PACK-Version 1.15  March 2014

 

Hopefully these are the proper needed files to be installed for GLOBAL EUROPE.

I am also reading a pdf file talking about FTX Global Vector 1.10 but I don't see in my FTX Central listings.

 

All these different names and versons I find very confusing.

 

Now for what I think caused my GLOBAL EUROPE go astray with flashing textures and unacceptable views etc.

 

When I installed GLOBAL EUROPE  FTX Central was set to FTX GLOBAL the scenery views were excellent.

For some reason I thought since this FTX GLOBAL was for Europe I thought I had made a mistake and I reinstalled

FTX GLOBAL with the FTX Central set to Europe.

Everything went wrong after that.

 

Can I uninstall and reinstall GLOBAL EUROPE again using the proper FTX Central "Global" setting ??

 

If so how to uninstall?

I don't think it matters what FTX Central was set to when you installed.

 

However,

 

if you wish to fly ONLY in mainland Europe, you MUST set FTX Central to Global before you start.

 

If you wish to fly ONLY in the UK and Ireland and see the regional scenery, you MUST set FTX Central to Europe.

 

If you wish to fly in both areas, the correct setting is Global with the Hybrid box ticked.

 

You appear to have Vector 1.15 installed, Vector does not appear in FTX Central but has instead its

own Vector Configurator which will have been installed for you and a Desktop Shortcut created.

I am familiar with FTX Central settings for areas I wish to fly in.

 

I have enclosed screenshots to show what I am seeing in a flight thru Switzerland

I think you will agree there is something wrong.

 

Could it be caused by incorrect settings in my scenery.cfg file??

 

Should I try removing FTXGLOBAL open LC EUROPE and reinstalling it over again.

 

Best way to uninstall?

The problem may be with your terrain.cfg file.
