lgustavo
Hi, I have just purchased and installed ORBX Blue/Rocky Mountains, and after successfully installing it, there´s something very weird going on: there are several black boxes in the city area, along the streets. These black boxes get lighted at night, and thet appear bigger than they should.I have a brand new Dell PC running on Windows 8 and a 3-monitor screen. Please let me know what can be wrong. lgustavo
I have tried the New Zealand package and it appears fine so far.The sceneries in USA, on the other hand, share the same problem. Is it a good idea to install them again? How do i uninstall , if it is needed? Vlad Maly
Hi Luiz: Regardless - did you install the latest library file last as well?
Nick Cooper
If you install the latest library and the problem is still there, I will guess that you are running FSX in Dx10 preview mode. If this is the case, the black boxes are the new lighting with which Dx10 is not compatible unless you purchase and install the Dx10 Fixer. New Zealand does not yet feature these lights, which may explain why you do not see the problem there. If you are using the Dx10 preview, try it with the box unticked, ie in Dx9 mode and the lights will display as they should.
lgustavo
Hello Nick Right! As soon as i disabled the DX10, the problem was solved! On the other hand, how can I purchase this Dx10 fixer? What am i going to lose in terms of quality or capability if i let my system like this? Nick Cooper
I can only suggest that you try the default Dx9 mode. If you are happy with what you see and how it performs then you do not need to use the Dx10 mode at all. If you would prefer to, the Fixer can be purchased at the FlightSimsStore here http://www.flightsimstore.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=250&products_id=2630 There is an outline of what it does but the decision is yours.
