sjed
I've upgraded my hard drive and in the process I moved all my FSX and Orbx files from D: drive to C: drive. Everything seems to work OK but now I can't open FTX Central because I get a message that FSX is not in the D: drive as reported by the registry and it won't let me in the FTX Central page. I know I can just erase Orbx and reinstall but was hoping there was something I could do to fix the problem without having to reinstall.
Holger Sandmann
Hi there, you can try adjusting the Windows FSX registry entry; see see http://fullterrain.com/support.html#registry http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=library http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/FSX-Registry-Utility-Download-74741.html However, anything that you've installed for FSX (not just Orbx, and possibly including aircraft) with dependencies on either the registry, roaming folders, or config files (scenery.cfg, dll.xml, etc.) will likely not function because the stored paths to files and folders are no longer correct. The time one has to spend tracking those issues down and fixing them often ends up being longer than reinstalling FSX. Cheers, Holger
