Stillwater
Well, the plane suggests to make a blend. But any blend consists of the single ingredients, so we pick them all up (and have a great tasting later...). Campbeltown, with its famous distilleries (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campbeltown_single_malts). Islay, no need to say this island is a MUST for ... cultural interested tourists (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islay_whisky). Bowmore below, I could not spot the distillery building, but I know what they can do... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bowmore_distillery). The paps of Jura... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jura_distillery) ... and Oban (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oban_distillery), ... then crossing the beautiful mesh of the scottish mountains ... ... to the Glenfinnan viaduct, ... ... and towards the salmon farming zones south of Eilean Donan Castle Island: Kyle Bridge, before crossing the Isle of Skye (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talisker_distillery): And, after crossing a channel (is it named the Minch?), Kisimul Castle at the southern end of the outer hebrides: Barra airstrip, famous enough as it can only be used at low tide (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barra_Airport_(Scotland)): And heading north, towards the Isle of Lewis,... ... with its salmon farms ... ... and the incredible approach, ... with 44 kts crosswind. THAT was a challenge with all this valuable freight! Sorry, this flight came up to 17 pictures. I couldn´t decide which ones to skip...

Okay, it's still morning so i let that go - but i certainly enjoy Your great shots here! I agree, Christoph, Monday morning is not the right time for a malt tasting. Especially as it is getting really warm here in central Europe.
