olderndirt
In the new NCA scenery, the surface of Crater Lake reveals, faintly, a geometric square grid pattern.
Holger Sandmann
Hi there, unfortunately, that's not a fixable glitch on our part but how FSX renders the multiple levels of detail embedded in photoreal water .bgl files. Notice how when you get closer to the water surface the grid cells become smaller as the sim loads the higher detail layers. You actually have the same behavior with all photoreal water, like KHQM Bowerman in PNW too. It's just more apparent in Crater Lake due to the low contrast of the dark blue water surface. Also, how apparent the grid pattern is depends on Level of Detail and Water effects slider settings as well as local weather and time of day. Cheer, Holger
