Larglo
Hi all, I have just switched to Perpar3d, and installing my scenery of which I have UTX USA & GEX North America and Orbx Pacific NW. I can't seem to get the Orbx to install, so looking at the FTX GLOBAL Base Pack and the ftx Global Vector. But I am really confused about which does which? Their both Global scenery, but I read the download manual and thought it said I need the Global BASE in order to run the Vector? Vector is much cheaper, so thought I'd start there. I plan on using ONLY Orbx scenery with the P3d. I downloaded the Iceland demo, and it blew me away. By using only Orbx, I think it would be much simpler to stay up with patches and updates. And I'm sure Orbx wouldn't mind. Could someone enlighten me on what all this Base, Victor, means, on which I need first, second, etc. Thanks so much. Matt McGee
Larry, Check out this thread: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/61929-ftx-global-what-is-it-all-about/ It explains the layers in FSX scenery. FTX Global Base is the texture layer. FTX Global Vector is vector data layer. Purchase FTX Global Base first Cheers, Matt
pasayten
And Vector will work better with a higher quality mesh... FS Global 2010 - FTX Compat (It was written that Vector was tested/developed with this) FS Ultimate (by regions) FSGenisis http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/70640-mesh-clarification/ Cheers, Ray
