miloguy
hi guys, I think I am nearly done with flying my cessna 208 with a joystick how much difference would it be in flying with a yoke and rudder controlls ? and what would you recommend for around the $300 range?? aussie that is
Todd Harrell
For $300 you could get the Saitek yoke, throttle quadrant, and maybe rudder peddles too. In fact, I would check eBay. Edit: Ebay has a few listings of Saitek bundles (yoke, throttle quad, rudder pedals) for around $275 USD. That may be a little above your budget in AUD, but it's in the ballpark. bountyhunter
i use the above with an extra quadrant for twin engine (got them a step at a time) I feel it makes a big difference especially engine managment
CrownCityMisfit
I am saving up for the slightly more expensive Cessna Saitek combo. I love my CH Combatstick and CH Pro Throttle, but it's not appropriate for most of my flying.
gandy
I'm in between yokes at the moment but I'm thinking of buying the vrinsight yoke as I know if I buy another saitek yoke I will wear it out, pay the extra and save later is my thinking. I personally don't feel saitek yokes are made for heavy use so I need something I can service with ease instead of just throwing money at saitek. If you fly a lot with the yoke and not the autopilot then choose quality over cheapness

I will be looking for something with some serious quality, maybe PFC if they arent stupidly expensive to import.

Borris Borowski
Can´t you return a order if it is purchased online? Try it at home, and then if you don´t like it send it back?

teecee
Had my Saitek X52Pro for many years, used it most days (I am retired)and it's still as good as the day I bought it. Teecee.
jpreou
I much prefer a joystick over a yoke, but then all the planes I am ever likely to fly will probably have a joystick. Either way, I'd purchase pedals way before I went for a yoke.
grover149
I'm still using my trusty Saitek X-52 joystick and throttle. Got the switches, hats, etc programmed so I hardly use the keyboard.
