Bassman
Hi Guys, same old question that I just can't seem to get clear in my old head. What order? many different answers on different forums. Many say put landclass on top of scenery, some say put scenery on top of landclass etc. All just a bit too confusing :'( :'( :'( I have posted screenshots of my Library and basically am just asking the FTX/ORBX guys which order they recommend and then I will just follow one "guru". Too many gurus spoil the broth....... : So, basically seeking feedback as to the order of my library??? Thanks in advance. John Venema
Let the FTX installers do their thing - the order it arranges the folders is the right order. I notice you have FS9 versions of Coffs and YPJT installed? Time to upgrade my friend
Bassman
Thanks for the speedy reply John, much appreciated. Just one thing, should I have the FS Global 2008 at No 1..... position, as it is Mesh, or is my existing order ok?? Cheers dan
Barry Meiklejohn
FSX treats mesh a little bit differently to other 'scenery' items. Basically it can identify that mesh is mesh and displays it appropriately, irrespective of where it lies in your scenery library. FSX can also identify higher res mesh than lower res. Therefore it is fine to keep your mesh folders down under the other scenery items to keep them 'out of the way'. I keep mine immediately above the 'addon scenery' folder.
