Mallard
I recently did my first night flight into Alice Springs - and was a bit surprised how the apron looked: Checking with FTX lights activated and off both had the same results. Any suggestions? Cheers Mallard
Stillwater
Looks surprisingly light. I will check it here also...
Ian Routley
Not sure what is going on there. Are you using any special settings? HDR? Is this FSX or P3D? DX10? Some of the novel lighting tech may not play well with add-ons or other shader modes due to their inability to process the more novel FSX framebuffer material settings. Mallard
Hi Ian, that's FSX in DX10 with bloom activated. It would appear that the apron is being used as a "light". On approach YBAS is visible from miles away because the apron shines brightly into the night... I have SweetFX, but deactivated it during my checks just to be sure. Ian Routley
My guess is Bloom and DX10 are not playing with the lighting. The appearance is not normal. Can you try it with both of those off?
Mallard
Hi Ian, yep - it was the bloom. Uncheked that and had regular night apron textures again. Thanks for the help Mallard
