The install wrapper takes around 15 minutes to finish and after the licence agreement screen where you make the choice of flight sim, I get the message above. I have all installed all of the latest Windows XP updates as well as dotNet 3.5 and 4. I have all of the latest drivers for my PC I have run PC Tuneup to fix any registry problems. I have tried the registry fix Not happy Ray
Alex Goff
Hi Ray, That's a new one I haven't seen yet. Some troubleshooting steps to go through, are you running the installer from an unzipped folder with enough hard drive space (>4GB)? Did you leave the FSS unwrapper open while running the installer? Run the installer with administrator rights?
raymondo
Hi there, thanks for the reply. Yes, there is plenty of space on the hard disk. Today: I made sure that I am logged on as the administrator(it's my PC). I downloaded a the FTX EU England file again The files were unzipped with WinRar into a separate folder. I disabled AVG antivirus, firewall etc. I left the FSS wrapper open. Same result ERROR Radio Buttons On Next, Line 10: Argument 2 must be of type string. Ed Correia
Hi Ray, this is indicating a missing registry entry for FSX/P3D. Which sim are you installing into? I assume FSX as I haven't come across any registry errors for P3D as yet. For FSX, I suggest this tool to fix the registry href='http://tweakfs.com/download/fsx_reg_utility.zip%C2'>

raymondo
Hi there, I downloaded and ran the registry fix but this timeI received a different message. Error Message Invalid archive filename: C:\DODOCUME-1\RAY\Locals-1\Temp\{6BDEFDB5-5994-4AAD 5832F57C9B35\OrbyxFTXEU100.exe The original folder was on my desktop, so I decided to copy it to the the main disc C:\. I disabled my AVG security during the process I ran the FTX .exe file again (this appears to lock up the PC but it doesn't so be patient!). The file installed OK and FTX Central started. My conclusions are that there was a problem with my registry andperhaps OrbyxFTXEU100.exe did not like being opened from a folder on my desk top. I have yet to try it all out in FSX, I hope that it's been woth the hours of trying, I'll let you know. Just to say many thanks to the helpers and to say to anyone experiencing the same problems to be patient. Cheers, Ray a S
raymondo
Hi there, just to let you kmow that everything appears to work OK with FSX. FTX EU England was definitely worth the money and also worth the time taken to get it installed. Thanks again to all. Ray (happy now!)
