TymK Posted October 9, 2013 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Hi guys, I've recently started doing some night flying, and I've begun to notice some strange patterns on the ground. I saw this before, but thought it was a one-off thing. This affects both FTX and default textures... The landing lights make this more visible, but (if you turn up the brightness), the same patterns appear outside the light cone (or with lights off). Is there something wrong with my setup, or is it simply a well-known FSX thing that I never noticed as I flew almost exclusively during the day? Thanks! The issue here, however, is not lights, but the strange patterns visible on ground textures... Maybe it's perfectly 'normal' in FSX, and I simply hadn't noticed it before, that's why I'm asking... The patterns are discernible at dawn and dusk (although you may not see them straight away, depending on your monitor brightness/contrast settings), but they don't really stand out. silvera_ Posted October 10, 2013 Share Posted October 10, 2013 I've exactly the same textures on the ground at night. I guess it's an issue with FSX. Even with a brand new install it was still there as far as i know. I've tried to replace grass textures with a new one but didn't change anything.
