Wolter van der Spoel
Hi there, sorry to hear of your woes, solution is reasonably simple, create a folder string in your fsX main folder, ORBX\Scripts\Backup\ and them with notepad create a text file called default.txt and drop that in the Backup folder, then rightclick and rename it to default.xml. run the installer again and it should be running with no issues. let us know how you fare. DunMac
Hello, I'm having the exact same problem and I read the fix and also that worked. My problem is that I don't understand a word of the fix let alone know how to go about the procedure. I'm not that versed in computer.....lol. Are there any step by step precise details as to how to set up the folder and the notepad. The thing that gets me is that it (FTX Cenral) was working but I had an issue with another add-on and the fix to that problem was a total re-install of FSX. I don't have a clue as to why FTX Central isn't working now. According the the install wizard the program installed successfully but I can't apply it to us it. I could really use some help, 101 style. As I said I don't have any adea how to set up the folder that you spoke of. Thanks.

lcoleman
Hi Wolter, I had this same issue when I installed my very first ORBX software, NA PFJ. My friends who have been long-time users of ORBX products told me there was great help on these forums. And sure enough, I found the answer to my problem in your post. Once I completed the steps, it appears FTX is working just fine. After selecting North America in FTX and going to CYZP in FSX, it was clear I was no longer viewing the default scenery. Thanks for your help! Larry
