ThrottleUp

Dear FTX friends please can you have a look at the specs of this ready-built PC and tell me if it will run FSX decently! The rig is customizable to a small degree and I have decided to go for the E8600 processor and a single HD4870 card along with a Antec 900 case.

Hi ThrottleUp,

First thing I would change :

- Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 LGA775 'Wolfdale' "Overclocking E0 Stepping" 3.33GHz Overclocked to 4.00GHz get yourself a quadcore it runs fsX so much smoother than a dual core.

Second thing I would change :

- ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI read this => New GTX 260 with new driver leaves 4870 beaten and scarred

Third thing I would change :

- Corsair TX 650W ATX2.2 SLi Compliant PSU better get a bit more overhead with the PSU 750~800 Watts, the now adays Vidcards are a wee bit hungry for power

;)
