Sethos
Hello, Today I decided to finally pull the trigger on a few FSX addons and really get dug in, so I picked up some high-quality addons and got crackin'. However when applying the title mentioned package in FTX Central I'm getting an error of a missing file. The default.xml located in ORBX\Scripts\Backup\Default.xml is missing according to an "Unhandled exception" error. Checking the directory there isn't even a Backup directory. So; - I'm running Windows 7. - Game isn't installed in Program Files (x86) as that leads to access problems at times. - I've re-downloaded the package with a download manager to make sure it isn't corrupt - Turned off my Anti-virus completely - Turned off UAC - Ran the installer as Admin - It's on a fresh installation of FSX Gold However I keep running into this error and it's really souring my evening here ... The full error as follows; See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Michael\Spil\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ORBX\Scripts\Backup\default.xml'. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.File.InternalCopy(String sourceFileName, String destFileName, Boolean overwrite) at System.IO.File.Copy(String sourceFileName, String destFileName, Boolean overwrite) at FTXCentral.FTX_Environment.CopyBuildRestoreBat() at FTXCentral.FTX_Environment.ApplyRegionChanges() at FTXCentral.FTXC.Apply() at FTXCentral.FTXC.lblApplyButton_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Label.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5466 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework64/v2.0.50727/mscorlib.dll ---------------------------------------- FTXCentral Assembly Version: 1.0.2.8 Win32 Version: 1.0.2.8 CodeBase: file:///C:/Michael/Spil/Microsoft%20Games/Microsoft%20Flight%20Simulator%20X/ORBX/Scripts/FTXCentral/FTXCentral.exe ---------------------------------------- Microsoft.VisualBasic Assembly Version: 8.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 8.0.50727.5420 (Win7SP1.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/Microsoft.VisualBasic/8.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Runtime.Remoting Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5420 (Win7SP1.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Runtime.Remoting/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Runtime.Remoting.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Configuration Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5420 (Win7SP1.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Configuration/2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Configuration.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Xml Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5420 (Win7SP1.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Xml/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Xml.dll ---------------------------------------- rcuw32dw Assembly Version: 1.0.2.8 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Core Assembly Version: 3.5.0.0 Win32 Version: 3.5.30729.5420 built by: Win7SP1 CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Core/3.5.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Core.dll ---------------------------------------- m7jhxhwv Assembly Version: 1.0.2.8 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. I searched and looked, didn't find any suggestions besides the stuff I've already tried .... Help.
Wolter van der Spoel
Hi Sethos, not sure where things got tangled up, find the "Backup" folder and unzipp the attached file to .....\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ORBX\Scripts\Backup or unzipp it in it's own folder and copy it over to the backup folder default.zip I'll leave the file attached for 24 hrs

Tim Harris
Dont forget to install the latest Orbx Libraries patch after installing any Orbx products, you can find it here: http://www.fullterrain.com/support.html (This will also resolve the missing empty 'Backup' folder) Cheers Tim
