I have mine set at 1M Is there any advantages performance wise to go lower or higher..(will it make the scenery look more crisp) here's what I have going.... John Venema Posted October 14, 2008 Share Posted October 14, 2008 15cm is optimum. If you use YMML, you'll want to set it at 15cm. For FTX, 15cm gives you much crisper road/rail textures, which are actually 7cm resolution. There's no performance penalty at dragging resolution slider to the right, since FSX is clever enough to detect what the actual texture resolution is and use the appropriate MIP level accordingly. Wolter van der Spoel Posted October 14, 2008 Share Posted October 14, 2008 Hi PO, This is how I have 'm: Mesh resolution, 5m Water effects, Mid. 2x Texture resolution, 15 cm Autogen density, Normal ~ Very Dense the others sliders all maxed out Autogen depending on the area you are flying in and the tweak to the fsX.cfg [TERRAIN] TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_TREES_PER_CELL=2000 (max is 6500) TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_BUILDINGS_PER_CELL=2000 (max is 6500) edit: and again John beat me too it ..... lolz Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
