robrooke Posted June 20, 2012 Share Posted June 20, 2012 hi, can anyone help as i seem to have a corrupted effects file, namely when taxing across grass or taxing across water i get a black smoke from wheels or floats. also wakes on boats appear black.i have re-run fs acceeration to try & repair, to no avail. any advice would be much appreciated. regards, roger. Dieter Posted June 21, 2012 Share Posted June 21, 2012 Most likely your MS basic effects are corrupted what reason ever. I had the same problem some time ago but I found a tool for recovery. At avsim download and run - gauges_recovery_fsx.zip The software name may be misleading at first, but be sure, it will do the job! (It doesn't only repair gauges) When running, first choose your language (english/french), then you have the choice what to do by clicking the appropriate buttons. Try it!
