John York
You know, years ago most light aircraft, especially fighters and maybe some bombers had mirrors fitted so that they had a chance to see what was coming up behind them. I've not seen one simulation aircraft with them fitted and it frustrates me when ATC tell me something's coming up my backside at 6 o'clock and to report them in sight. How the hell can you even look?!! I want some rear view, or pillar mirrors, especially on the low and slow light airplanes. I'm sure the real ones must have something. Rob Newman
Surprisingly, no! Most of the GA I fly doesn't have any mirror... withe the exception of some light twins, but then that's on the engine cowling just so you can see the nose wheel is down. Whenever ATC tells me I have traffic behind me, I have to pull a crazy yoga maneuver to crane my eyeballs rearward...
